Band Leader and Trumpet, Nickname - "Emma", 1993- Present, England Appearances- 150+

“It all started with a bugle at Everton”....if I had a pound for every time I'd stood next to John and listened to how the band started!!
John is the band leader, I’m not really sure what to say about John – he usually has enough to say about himself.
He is different class, a great friend.....but at times  he gets right on my nerves....We clash more times in a day than you could imagine......but as he says in broad Yorkshire “It’ll be oreeeight” (translated to “stop worrying old bean....it will all be OK!!”)
He did for a number of years believe he had blonde hair!! And were not convinced he doesn’t use eye liner!
Firey, passionate & driven- quite simply has been the driving force behind the band since he formed it in 1993. His proudest moment was when he received the call from Glenn Hoddle; I’ve never seen him as proud as he was that day. He cares passionately about each band member – even though at times they wouldn’t know it.
A bigger Sheffield Wednesday fan, you will struggle to find!
He blows the trumpet louder than I’ve ever heard it....I’m sure that has been a contributing factor to his lesser known nickname of “hemmaroyds”
I have been his room mate, for over 15 years....there’s not a lot I don’t know about him.....I’ll ensure that lot gets to print if I survive him!!
 I was honoured to be his best man at his wedding to his wife Jayne, I probably have more arguments with him than any other person in the world......but that’s just the way it is.
